Ghandhara Nissan, the local partners of Chery China, announced in December last year that they will be launching Chery Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 8 crossover SUVs in Pakistan.
And now it seems Ghandhara Motors Pakistan has started the local production of the upcoming Chinese SUV. Photos of right-hand drive Tiggo 8 have been leaked online showing the car at Ghandhara’s assembly line as well as fully assembled model units.
In a letter to their stockholders, Ghandhara mentioned that the company is going to do an overhaul and will be spending heavily on the expansion of the dealers network as well as the improvement of the assembly line.
The upcoming Tiggo 4 is the smaller vehicle and will compete with the vehicles like MG ZS, Peugeot 2008, and even Kia Stonic whereas the Tiggo 8 will have 1.6 TGDi engine and will compete with bigger vehicles like the Kia Sorento and Toyota Fortuner.
The company is expected to start the bookings of the new SUV in a month or so.
