Changan and Master Motors to export vehicles from Pakistan

Master Motor Corporation (Pvt.) Limited (MMCL), the auto company that assembles and sells automobiles like Changan, Yutong, Fuso and Foton, will be becoming the first automaker in Pakistan to assemble and export vehicles. The company CEO Mr Danial Malik made this landmark announcement after revealing the concept sketches of upcoming Changan SUV.

Master Motors has claimed that the SUV that was announced in the unveiled sketches will have its global launch right here in Pakistan for the first time in country’s history. The upcoming SUV will be the first vehicle by the automaker in Pakistan’s SUV market as well. Mr Malik said that the company is looking forward to “disrupt” the local SUV scene of Pakistan.

When Changan China and Master Motors Pakistan joined hands a few years ago, it was hinted that the company will assemble right-hand drive vehicles here in Pakistan and then export them to other right-hand drive markets around the globe. But now it seems those rumours are becoming a reality.

Mr Malik said,

As with everything else, we are entering the SUV segment with a ‘Future Forward Forever’ attitude and look forward to disrupting it for the better and bringing Pakistan’s SUV consumers into the future.

Master Motors announced its “Future Forward Forever” approach at the start of the year and introduced the testing of Changan’s autonomous vehicles as well.

The fact that Pakistan will soon be exporting vehicles in the near future is definitely a positive sign for not only the local auto consumers but also for the economy of the country on the whole. This will not only help promote Pakistani auto products in the world but will also encourage other companies to take similar steps towards local assembly and eventual exporting of the products.
