Pakistan has been trying to get on the EV hype train for last couple of years now. And now we have Pakistan’s first cheapest full electric vehicle known as Rinco Aria.
Aria is a mini-hatchback and is being introduced by Nayyar Industries. It is almost the size of United Bravo. Talking about the technical stuff, the battery range is one of the most important aspect of any electric vehicle. The Rinco Aria comes with a 17 kWh battery pack and a rear mounted single electric motor that makes around 19 bhp and 75 Nm of torque. The said battery pack can deliver as many as 200 kilometres in a charge. If you drive the car in eco mode, the top speed is restricted to 60 km/h whereas in normal mode, you can do 100 km/h which happens to be the top speed of the vehicle.
Feature wise, Aria is pretty loaded for its size. You get things like power windows, power steering, keyless entry and immobiliser, parking sensors along with reversing camera, digital cluster and smart infotainment system. Rinco Aria also comes with an air conditioner.
Aris will be offered as a CBU at least for now until the company starts locally assembly. You also get a 5 year warranty on the motor.
The EV hatchback is priced at arguably steep Rs 2.4 million. Booking starts from Rs 1.2 million and cars will be delivered in 5 months.
